The Living Classroom brings children face-to-face with the living world — allowing them to observe animals closely, ask questions, and understand life through real experiences.
This session is conducted in collaboration with Prani – The Pet Sanctuary, known for ethical animal care and experiential learning programmes for children.
What Children Will Experience
- During the session, children will:
- Engage directly with animals in a safe, guided environment
- Learn about animal habitats, diets, behaviour, and classification
- Observe similarities and differences across species
- Build curiosity, empathy, and respect for living beings
- Every interaction is guided by trained animal educators to ensure learning, safety, and care.

Children will interact with a diverse range of animals, including:
Mammals
Gerbil, Hedgehog, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Dog
Birds
Rooster, Cockatoo
Reptiles
Bearded Dragon, Ball Python, Iguana, Terrapin
Arthropods & Others
Tarantulas, insect life cycles, and different types of eggs
How the Session is Structured
- Total duration: 2 hours
- Children are divided into two smaller batches to ensure meaningful interaction
- Sessions are paced, age-appropriate, and fully supervised
- Animals are handled ethically and with care at all times
- This structure ensures every child feels comfortable, curious, and engaged.
